Who’s who at A.C. Wilgar
Director
Billy started the business in 1985 and still plays a very active role, including conducting surveys and post-installation quality control visits.
Office Staff
With over 20 years’ experience within the industry, Lisa ensures the staff have everything they need and is the magician behind the curtain. She makes sure everyone in the team is always at their best and is a huge support to the A.C. Wilgar team!
Sarah has vast experience in accounts working in the city but now works locally to spend more time with her daughter. She is critical to the accounts team and is a trusted dependable member of the AC Wilgar accounts team.
Louise has picked up the business quickly and is an integral member of the team. She has recently taken on more responsibility within the installation department and is a very dependable member of the office staff especially when the pressure is on.
Sue has joined us from Mitie and brings the industry knowledge with her and has a conscientious nature always going above and beyond for our customers. Her speed at picking up her phone is legendary.
Kim is our newest member in the office, she joins us from another company and has a great knowledge of the industry and will back up Louise on the installs along with the day to day running of the office.
Eve joined Wilgar’s as an office Junior but is already proving her worth within the team moving up the ranks swiftly, she is a polite young lady and is eager to learn all aspects of the job.
Field Engineers
Apart from Billy, Paul is the longest standing member of staff now in his 23rd year, known as the Oracle, if he can’t fix it, it can’t be fixed.
Stuart is an exceptionally experienced and professional engineer who worked for A.C. Wilgar in the 1990’s before leaving and starting his own company. He is now a full-time surveyor for us, who spearheads the installation operation.
Gary is a highly respected engineer both within A.C.Wilgar and the wider community. He is a sounding board for the younger engineers and takes charge of our hectic emergency call-out schedule.
Trained here from the age of 16, Andrew spent a couple of years in Canada, where he picked up some handy carpentry skills. He is now our most senior Installer in the field.
Jack has been servicing our customer’s boilers for many years now and constantly receives customer praise for his polite and friendly demeanour. Always carrying out services with a smile!
A core senior member of our experienced breakdown team, Paul has a truly vast amount of knowledge. Specialising in many of the older and rarer boilers in our customer homes, he has an especially impressive ability to impersonate the noise of every boiler he visits!
Smiley, a perfect description for Gary. With over 40 years’ experience in servicing and maintaining heating systems, it’s hard to believe he goes about his business each and every day with the same happy smiley attitude he had over 40 years ago, a proper gentleman.
Rob joined us in 2021 after 20 years with British Gas. An extremely experienced heating breakdown engineer, Rob has fitted in like a glove with his ‘no nonsense’ ‘get on with it’ attitude, which makes him a credit to the company.
Joe started off as an apprentice and has since evolved into one of our most capable young plumbers. He also knows heating systems and is seen as a “go-to” guy. A real credit to the company.
Sam is another engineer in our ever growing installation team. He is an extremely conscientious and thorough young installer who has been with us since he was a first year apprentice. He has worked hard to become a core member of the team.
Tom is working on his plumbing qualifications from college whilst working with us. A fast-learner with a can-do attitude, Tom has always wanted to be a qualified engineer and we hope to help him to realise his goals.
Bringing a warm and friendly personality to his work and a new addition to the installer team he has hit the ground running providing an exceptional customer experience.
Improvers / Apprentices
Ollie is one of our newest (and biggest) recruits. A pleasant well-mannered young man, whose attitude and keenness to learn is a credit given his young age. You will definitely see Ollie coming, he’s a BIG STRONG lad.
Charlie has already impressed her college lecturer, reaching top of the class in her first years exams! The daughter of one of our most experienced heating engineers, we can only hope she reaches the heights her dad (Gary) has got to. A lovely young lady with great aspirations.
Jack joins AC Wilgar with a great attitude and his work ethic is already getting him noticed. Always with a smile and no doubt a future star within the ranks!
Ethan has joined our team as a promising apprentice. Whilst still at school Ethan completed two stints of work experience with us and we are pleased to say he has now come on board full time.
Arron has joined AC Wilgar as an improver and is one of our tallest employees at 6 foot 5 inches! He is currently working through his portfolio and will be looking to work on all things heating in the future.
